Flea Market Scrap Metal Man
Flea Market Scrap Metal Man
Towering over bargain-hunters at the Adams Flea Market is a robot-man. His terrifying Left Hook of Devastation has been known to impale buyers who haggle for too long over ceramic kitchen wall decorations and antique VHS tape racks. His powerful Fist of Anguish detaches from his body with a velocity of 56 m/s. Those who wish to dodge this projectile can simply remember to gauge the thrust by using the simple formula:
F = ((m * V)2 - (m * V)1) / (t2 - t1), of course.

Roche-a-Cri Mound
at Roche-A-Cri State Park
location:   Friendship
rock formation(s)

"Centuries before it served as a natural landmark along French fur-trading routes, Roche-a-Cri Mound held significance for the area's earliest inhabitants. The mysterious carvings in the bare rock of the south face bear witness to their passing. The archaeological importance of these prehistoric art forms has earned Roche-a-Cri Mound its listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The 300 foot castellated sandstone mesa, from which the park derives its name, was once an island in glacial Lake Wisconsin. The summit, now accessible by a stairway of solid white-oak planks offers a breatht"

This looks perhaps a bit more like the Trojan Rabbit from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" than any species of coniculous lepin that I've ever seen crushed on the blacktop.

"There is a dark corner of the basement, and not like a small child "senses" a monster, you can feel her watching you from there at times, or sometimes from where the washer and dryer are. I have felt as if she has even followed me up the stairs at times. In fear that I will actually see something or her, I never look in the direction I can feel her in."

The Weird Wisconsin website ponders the multitude of Devil-related place names in Wisconsin.

"Another theory holds that early settlers often named places because of paranormal events. Something odd and beyond understanding was seen, and the newly arrived settlers named these places to commemorate – or to warn of – the event."

The reports on this site are presumably fiction, using random Wisconsin place names in the stories listed there. Even so, you might get a kick out of reading them.

"The ghost of a 9 foot huge man is repeatedly seen going crazy up on the highest spot of Cottonville Rocks. A number of of the folks who live in this town claim this ghost is the ghost of a traveler that was murdered while passing through Friendship long ago. Nonetheless, this ghost certainly is creepy; one that you wouldn't wish to come across very late at night."
